The healthcare team from GHCL Foundation helps in providing medical aid services in and around the areas of operations. The team reaches out to the communities with healthcare facilities carried forward by the Mobile Medical Unit on weekly basis. The MMU (Mobile Medical Unit) distributes essential medication to the villagers. In the third quarter, the team, with help of specialist doctors, organised Cataract operations for affected patients. They also continued with the Covid19 awareness sessions at regular intervals as the number of cases increased after the festive season and in many states the situation is alarming.
In Quarter 3, the team extended the medical services in the Kutch area of Gujarat. They set up a basic health check-up facility via Mobile Medical Unit. Since the services began in November 2021, a total of 1643 patients have benefitted. Soon, like at other locations, the team will start other health-related initiatives in the region.
