The rural healthcare system in India needs special attention as people residing in interior villages are very vulnerable due to lack of basic healthcare facilities.
COVID-19 pandemic created several challenges and left many with several questions in mind regarding health and hygiene. The teams at GHCL Foundation Trust worked at the forefront to make the testing facilities available in areas near its operation. The team-organised number of awareness sessions on COVID-19 and organised RTPCR testing as and when required. The mobile Medical Unit organised basic weekly health check-ups in the area of its operations to keep track of the health of people from the community.
